Walking over hot coals for Headway Essex
November 2023 saw Headway Essex host their first ever Firewalk! We were lucky enough to see a number of people hot foot it across the coals to help us raise vital funds for brain injury survivors.
The event took place at Green Barn Farm Café and Shop in Benfleet, courtesy of co-owner Liz Lyon, and was part of a wider campaign to connect with our South Essex community. The evening included hot food and drink to warm us all up and music provided by Firewalk UK to entertain us all.
Amazing turn out
Over the course of the evening, 17 amazing people participated in the event, including some of our very own staff, having spent weeks beforehand raising sponsorship. A particular congrats needs to go to Maddy, a member of the lovely team at Green Barn Farm, for contributing £915 in honour of her cousin Ben and her Dad. In total we made £5,000 in aid of those living with an acquired brain injury across Essex.
