We welcome our new CEO Tom Harrison to Headway Essex

Headway Essex is delighted to announce the appointment of Tom Harrison as its new Chief Executive Officer. Tom will be succeeding Jo Wright, who stepped down after 27 years of dedicated service to the organisation.

Tom brings a wealth of experience within the health and wellbeing sector to his new role.  Prior to joining Headway Essex, he served as the CEO of Age Well East where he successfully led the development and implementation of a 1Team culture. This initiative brought together trustees, staff, and volunteers, harnessing their collective expertise and passion to provide exceptional services and support to those in later years across Essex.

Alan Bacon, Chair of the Trustees, said

The Trustees are very pleased indeed that we have been able to appoint someone so experienced and well qualified as Tom Harrison as CEO of Headway Essex.

We are confident that his 1team approach to management can only strengthen what is already a successful people structure.

We believe that under his leadership the organisation will remain best equipped to continue and enhance its trajectory of success in helping and supporting those who have suffered or been affected by acquired brain injury.”

We look forward to the leadership and vision Tom will bring to the organisation as it continues to provide vital services and support to individuals affected by brain injuries.
