or call 01206 845945 Option 3
The purpose of the workshop is to provide carers with information and support to help them in their caring role. In addition, it will offer therapeutic activities and gentle seated yoga to allow some quality time away from the caring role and an opportunity to recharge your batteries. The workshop also provides an opportunity to talk to other carers and receive peer support from people who are experiencing similar challenges in their daily lives.
During the day we will look at understanding brain injury, how everyone is managing their caring role and address the importance of self-care when being a carer. To support this, we will have various expert speakers running sessions alongside relaxation activities.
Rob Warren, a Clinical Specialist Neurological OT.
Dr Carleen Scott, Chartered Clinical Psychologist specialising in Brain Injury, Stroke & Neuropsychology who will talk about the needs for self-care when you become a carer.
Meryl Dear, Hands Above Massage, an organisation that works with carers, offering massage therapy.
