Every year, between 8,500 and 9,000 people living in Essex will be admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury.
Brain injured patients can have obvious difficulties to overcome such as impaired speech, restricted mobility or poor co-ordination, but they may also have many problems that are not immediately apparent. Some of these problems manifest soon after hospital discharge, but others may take longer to become apparent.
As a charity, we are here to make sure that no one living with acquired brain injury has to cope alone.
Every 58 minutes, someone in Essex is admitted to hospital with an acquired brain injury (ABI)
