Fundraising Manager (Part-Time)

 

Location: Colchester (with travel across Essex as required)
Salary: FTE: up to £38,000 DOE
Hours: Part Time 30 hours

Headway Essex is a leading charity dedicated to supporting individuals living with acquired brain injury. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising efforts and help us grow our impact across Essex. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in developing and implementing innovative fundraising strategies, building relationships with donors, and ensuring the financial sustainability of the organisation.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to create and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy across multiple channels, ensuring alignment with Headway Essex’s vision and mission.
  • Secure Funding: Work closely with the Trusts and Grants Manager and CEO to identify and secure appropriate statutory sector contracts and funding opportunities to maintain and develop service provision.
  • Lead Fundraising Activities: Identify, implement, and evaluate fundraising activities, including campaigns, legacy giving, and in-memory donations, to meet or exceed budgeted targets.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work in conjunction with Marketing and service teams to implement strategies that engage supporters and raise awareness of Headway Essex.
  • Event Planning and Delivery: Plan, deliver, and assess fundraising events to maximise income, engagement, and long-term sustainability.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all fundraising activities comply with organisational standards, legal requirements, and industry best practices.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with major corporate supporters, donors, and key stakeholders, ensuring long-term partnerships and engagement.
  • Data Management: Ensure accurate fundraising data is maintained, compliant with GDPR, and used effectively to support donor care and engagement.

 

Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience in fundraising, preferably within the charity sector.
  • Strong understanding of fundraising regulations, best practices, and compliance standards.
  • Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated success in managing fundraising campaigns, events, and donor stewardship.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to work on multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to represent Headway Essex publicly at events and presentations, building the charity’s profile and influence across the region.

Support Worker – Benfleet (Part-Time)

 

We are looking for an experienced support worker to join our team in Benfleet, who provide therapeutic and post-rehabilitation activities for adults living with acquired brain injury.

 

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of;

  • Planning and running meaningful group activities
  • Key-working; identifying support plans, setting goals and carrying out reviews with individuals.
  • Liaising with other professionals, agencies and organisations.
  • Providing personal care and oversee the administration of medication
  • Client record keeping

 

You will have:

  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Excellent administration and organisation skills
  • Be educated to GCSE grade 4 or above English and Maths or equivalent
  • Have an NVQ Level 2 in health and social care, or equivalent or a relevant degree e.g. psychology.

 

Ideally you will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a health or social care setting
  • Knowledge of GDPR and Safeguarding.
  • Previous knowledge of brain injury is desirable, but not essential as full training is provided.

 

This is a part time role up to 30hrs per week. Due to the nature of the service being provided you will need to be available to work Tuesday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 and 17:00 in person.
